PaxOcean Group (PaxOcean), a trusted leader in shipbuilding, proudly announces the successful delivery of FATEH to the Automac Multiresources Sdn Bhd., a member of the Adinin Group of Companies. This achievement underscores PaxOcean’s unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation in the maritime industry.
The delivery ceremony took place on 26 February 2024 at PaxOcean Pertama, Batam. Attended by key industry figures, stakeholders, and distinguished guests, this event marked an important milestone adding to PaxOcean’s track record of collaborating with partners to deliver next generation vessels.
“Today, we celebrate the delivery of a vessel, that is a testament to our shipyards’ and workforce’s capabilities and the collaboration with our partners and stakeholders. FATEH represents the latest standard in the walk to work segment, and we are proud to set a new benchmark in innovation for this class of vessels,” said Mr Low Soon Teck, Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PaxOcean.
FATEH is a new class of compact semi-submersible (CSS) designed and equipped to meet current and the anticipated demands of the offshore industry.
Classed by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) as a DP Class 2 Mobile Offshore Unit (MODU), FATEH incorporates technology from industry-leading providers such as Huisman (lifting), Bergen (engines), Kongsberg (dynamic positioning), Rolls Royce now Kongsberg (thrusters) and ABB (power management), maximising safety in operations and minimising cost through fuel-efficient diesel electric propulsion.
The Vessel, when operational, can accommodate 152 people on board and meet the challenges of safe deck handling with a 160mt Crane. The innovative CSS design with twin hulls provides exceptionally stable sea-keeping characteristics and a very large zone 1 rated deck (about 1,000m2).
She is fitted with telescopic gangway at her aft. This will be used for personnel transfers to the operating site platform. She is also outfitted with a boat landing platform for receiving personnel from crew boats (with installed gangway) and tug pushing vessels. To guarantee that operating requirements are met, specialised fittings were installed.
Mr. Musa Adnin, Managing Director of the Adinin Group highlighted, “FATEH is the latest addition to the Adinin Group of Companies’ portfolio. The cutting-edge design, advanced technology, and a steadfast dedication to quality is the epitome of our business. FATEH will be working for Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd on a long-term charter contract. She will carry out work which is crucial to Brunei’s economy, hence performance and reliability are key factors.”
