The Bristol Port Company looks forward to welcoming Ambassador Cruise Line's vessel, 'Ambition,' returning to Royal Portbury Dock on April 13th for the start of their 2024 season of cruises through the Port. Almost 1,000 passengers will pass through the cruise terminal, embarking from Bristol to enjoy the early spring warmth on Ambition's voyage of Iberian treasures and Seville fiesta cruise.
This return coincides with Cruise Britain's announcement of landmark figures, exceeding pre-pandemic records. Throughout 2023, 2,499 calls were received in the UK, surpassing the previous record set in 2019. Notably, there has been a significant increase in guest numbers, with over 1.5 million passengers embarking on cruises from UK ports for the first time. This remarkable growth is a 26% increase over the previous record in 2018.
The Port is delighted to welcome passengers from across the country, with particular emphasis on local passengers benefiting from the convenience of Bristol’s global gateway.
James Stangroom, Director at Bristol Port said “We look forward to welcoming mv Ambition, and her crew, back to the Port for the start of a run of seven cruises from Royal Portbury Dock. The Port’s motorway links allow customers an easy journey to join their cruise ship and enjoy an exciting range of cruises on offer from Ambassador this year.”
