Video: Goliat FPSO floated off the Dockwise Vanguard

The Goliat FPSO has been reportedly successfully floated off the Dockwise Vanguard heavy vessel transport in Hammerfest.

The operation was carried out as initially planned and now the platform will be moored for a brief period of time in Ersvika, at roughly six kilometers south of Hammerfest. When it is to reach Ersvika, procedures for the towing out of the Goliat field are to start, including several inspections, checks and tests of all of the equipment and the vessel’s systems. Expectations are that the tow out operation in the Barents Sea will take place at some point in early May and for the field to come on stream by the middle of the year.
