In a video, posted by the U.S. Navy, you can see how the history meets the technology or how the USS Mitscher (DDG 57), Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, welcomes the French tall ship replica the Hermione in the vicinity of the Battle of Virginia Capes off the east coast of the US.

The Hermione is on a 12-city tour along the East Coast with stops including Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York and Boston. The final stop in North America of the ship will be on July 18 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
The Hermione was build based on exact line drawings from La Concorde, its sister ship. The 216-ft frigate was made of oak, iron, lead and conifer. It is 185 ft tall and has 1,000 pulleys and 26 cannons. The crew comprises 242 members.
