Crime gangs from India are using scrap-bound vessels to transport weapons, explosives and other thing according to a report. Dawood Ibrahim, the most wanted man in India has a big share in country's ship breaking industry.

According to report the scrap deals are just to cover for the main activity - money laundering.
Authorities are calling for more inspection operations of ships scrap-bound vessels entering in Indian waters, with some even pushing for them to be searched by the Indian navy before being allowed near the Indian land.
Dawood Ibrahim is searched for being the mind of vast and sprawling illegal empire that targets the country India and Indians. He is believed to have organized and financed the 1993 Bombay bombings. He was 3rd on the Forbes' World's Top 10 most dreaded criminals list of 2011.
The latest words against India’s ship breaking industry could not have come at a bad time as this. A week ago the Indian Supreme Court ordered a ban on vessels containing hazardous/toxic wastes as identified by the Basel Convention and its various protocols.
