The 145 meter long, 16225 dwt LPG tanker Nusa Bintang suffered an explosion while berthed at Sekong, Silegon, Indonesia.

The crew were doing maintenance in the engine room when something ignited causing the explosion. Two crew were severely burned by the blast and taken to hospital. No reports of pollution released.
The local authorities are currently following investigation for the root cause of the explosion. A full inspection of the vessel was ordered by the coast guard to ensure seaworthiness of the LPG tanker.
