U.S. Navy Rewarded the new Electric Boat of General Dynamics

U.S. Navy rewarded Electric Boat a contract for nuclear-support work for submarines homeported at Naval Submarine Base in Groton.
Electric Vessel is a totally owned subsidiary of General Dynamics.
Under the agreement, Electric Vessel is going to continue to operate the Nuclear Regional Maintenance Department (NRMD) at the submarine base.
The firm is going to secure project management, scheduling, training and radiological-control services to support maintenance, modernization and refit.
A core team of nearly 25 Electric Vessel workers are assigned to the NRMD, with surge groups of up to 100 shipbuilding workers assigned for short time.

The agreement has a potential value of $23.6 million over 9 months.
