3 tons of Cocaine Detained onboard of Bulgarian-flagged ship

The Bulgarian Interior Ministry told in a statement Thursday that a crime ring trafficking cocaine from South America to Europe had been suspended in a common international operation codenamed "Cartel".
The operation was made jointly by officers of the Bulgarian Directorate-General for Combatting Organized Crime (GDBOP), French police authorities, the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the UK Serious Organized Crime Agency (SOCA).
Based on exchange of information through Interpol and cooperation with Spanish law officials, the vessel "Sv. Nikolay" floating with Bulgaria flag, was intercepted 50 n.m. off Cadiz on Spain's Atlantic coast and around 3 tons of cocaine were found while the police authorities investigated the vessel. The captain of the Bulgarian vessel and crew all the 20 crew members, all Bulgarian citizens, are now under arrest. There are and 2 more arrests that were made in Bulgaria as a result of this operation.
