Fire at Petrobras FPSO

Brazilian oilfield services company Odebrecht Oleo e Gas Ltda., a unit of local
construction company Odebrecht, said on Monday that there was a fire during sea experimenting on a platform under construction in Singapore for state-run energy giant Petroleo Brasileiro (PBR, PETR4.BR), or Petrobras.
OOG informed that specialists dealed with the accident, which occurred on Thursday night. There is no signs of environmental damage, no injured people. OOG, consortium partner Teekay Corp (TK), shipbuilder Jurong and local authorities are searching for the cause provoked the fire.

OOG and Teekay cooperated to create the Cidade de Itajai floating production, storage and offloading ship, or FPSO. In a recent presentation, Petrobras informed that in near future(October) will be installed the FPSO at the Bauna and Piracaba fields, with first oil from the 2 fields expected by the end of October. The Cidade de Itajai has built capacity to produce 80,000 barrels of crude oil and 2 million cubic meters of natural gas per day.
