Voyages of Discovery will Offer 'Price Promise' for its customers

By Cruise

Voyages of Discovery joined P&O Cruises, Cunard and Fred.Olsen Cruises in offer to a 'price promise,' that guarantees a fare if it goes up or down.
The guarantee means that must the fare clients pay for a cruise voyage go down in price at a later date they are going to be offered an equivalent benefit in value in the form of credit or a stateroom upgrade on the board of the cruise ship. The move is made to encourage travelers to book early rather than wait for last-minute discounts.
The new "Price Promise" applies to classic fares on all summer 2013 and winter 2013/14 voyages from Apr 29, 2013, the beginning of the 1st summer season for Voyages of Discovery's new cruise vessel, the 15,721-ton, 540-guest Voyager (pictured).
Voyages of Discovery cruise company last week stated that it would be transferring the 20,186-ton, 650-guest Discovery, the vessel that sails under the Voyages of Discovery brand, to Cruise & Maritime Voyages next year.
Voyager is going to replace it sailing under the Voyages of Discovery brand, and is going to undertake refurbishment in December after a multi-million dollar refit. It is going to have two-hundred-seventy staterooms, thirty of which have verandas and 90 % of which are outside staterooms.
The new Winter 2013/14 season is going to see Voyager sailing to the Far East with twenty-one new ports of call including Dubai, Tokyo and San Remo, and itineraries in India, China, Burma, Thailand, South Korea and Japan.
