Another tanker goes missing off after Piracy attack

By Piracy

A Greek vessels management company informs it has lost contact with one of its tankers off the coast of western Africa, where some ships have been attacked by pirates.
Grace Management S.A. states the Bahamas-flagged Orfeas was carrying 32,000 metric tons (35,000 tons) of gasoline to Abidjan in the Ivory Coast. The tanker has 24 crew member, 2 Greeks and 22 Filipinos.
The tanker's operating company told that they have lost contact with ship on Saturday. The Orfeas had anchored off Abidjan, floated south without orders or explanation and might be heading for Lagos, Nigeria.
Pirates are active off West Africa and have drastically raised attacks in the last months. Usually, they freed the ships and crew members after stealing the cargo - without going through the process of demanding any ransom.
