APL with a New Intra-Asia Service

American President Lines represents a new weekly service to improve its network coverage in East Asia, with relations to APL's global network.
The new Japan Thailand 2 (JT2) service is being operated via ship sharing contract with Hanjin Shipping with 3 ships of 1700 TEU nominal capacity of every ship.
The launch of the JT2 service improves the global product of the American President Lines, offering and enlarging the following benefits to its clients:
Supplements the currently existing Japan Thailand Vietnam (JTV) service to secure a detailed service network for clients trading among South East Asia, North Asia and Japan
Gives wider coverage of Kansai and West Japan area
Connects Taiwan and the Pearl River Delta area to Thailand, with competitive transit times
Links to the global network of APL via transshipment hubs in Kaohsiung and Hong Kong
The new port rotation service is: Osaka – Kobe - Hibiki – Hakata – Kaohsiung – Chiwan – Laem Chabang – Hong Kong – Kaohsiung – Osaka. The 1st northbound sailing is going to begin on December 21st, 2012 from Laem Chabang. The 1st southbound sailing is beginning on December 21st, 2012 from Osaka.
