Two missing sailors after cargo ship sinks off Sulawesi

9 of the 17 crew members aboard MV Eveline cargo ship are still stranded out on the rough seas. Their vessel sunk off the Selayar Islands. Rescue teams were unable to go to the crew members and save them.
National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas)informed that the 9 sailors were on lifecrafts, hoping for help.
Unfortunate MV Eveline was transporting cement from Soekarno-Hatta sea port in Makassar and was headed to Banyuwangi was headed to Banyuwangi, East Java.
During the evacuation 2 crew members fell into the sea and disappeared.
Mahakam River boat passing nearby rescued only 6 people. It is believed that the cargo vessel MV Eveline was hit by strong winds and high waves plus heavy rains.
Even a helicopter is taking part in searching for survivors but the strong winds in the location of the incident stopped the searching efforts.
In the same time, MV Angle cargo ship (Vietnam), which had 20 people on board, has been stranded at Cemara Beach in West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), 3 days due to bad weather.
