Greece - more taxes for foreign flagged vessels

If an owner has registered its ships outside the country he will have to pay more taxes. Greek parliament is ready to approve this tax measure soon.
New law will be applied to owners outside the country or firms for vessels registered with foreign flags that are managed or operated by companies registered in Greece.
Other rule is that companies have to pay one more tax of 10%,8% and 6% for every dollar that enters Greece for the next 4 years.

The Greek Ministry of Finance to receive €140 million from this new rule by in the next 4 years. According to Greek government ship owners have to contribute in taxes in order the country to exit the ongoing debt crisis.
