Vietnamese Fisherman Discovered Abandoned, fully-loaded cargo ship

Vietnamese fishermen has found an abandoned, fully loaded cargo vessel, and successfully tow her to their home base.
The cargo vessel, Hai Dong 27, was found abandoned and adrift by fishermen from Hoang Hoa district of Thanh Hoa province, thereafter a dozen fishing vessels towed the cargo ship over 140 nautical miles to the shore of Hoang Truong commune, Hoang Hoa district. In the towage operation were involved 7 fishing vessels.
The mystery was clarified by an earlier report by the Vietnam News Agency which says that on the night of the 20th of January, 2013 the same cargo vessel owned by Hai Dong Co., Ltd. in the town of Hai Phong, on passage with over 3,000 tons of cargo from Cu Lao Cham to Hai Phong, had its engine room breached and flooded by seas off the province of Quang Binh. The thirteen seamen of the crew were rescued by the vessel Phu Son 26.
Mr. Le Van Hoang, who is Chairman of Hoang Truong commune reported those concerned that after obtaining reports from the fishermen, the local marine authorities had directed the local police and border guard forces to verify the record of this vessel and to protect it.
