Vessels will be built by Vigor Shipyard at its Ballard, Wash. facility (formerly Kvichak Marine)
Fincantieri Marinette Marine (FMM) announced yesterday that it has been awarded a contract for 2 additional Response Boat – Medium (RB-Ms) vessels by the U.S. Coast Guard.
The 2 boats are part of a Foreign Military Sale to The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Delivery is scheduled to begin in the 4th quarter of 2017. This award brings the total number of RB-M’s to 176 built by Team RB-M, originally formed by FMM and Kvichak Marine. FMM will act as the Prime Contractor and Program Manager. The new boats will be upgraded for the Jordanian Navy’s specific mission requirements and the challenging operational environment. These two vessels will be constructed by Vigor in one of it’s Seattle, Washington Facilities.
