Yemen asks for help from UN for a seized Iranian arms-laden ship

By Accidents

Yemen needs help from the UN Security Council in order to make an investigation for a ship seized with a cargo of Iranian-made missiles, rockets and more weapons. Security Council is making a debate to decide what to do with this request.
Defense Ministry of Yemen informed that a month ago an Iranian vessel had been seized for transporting bombs, explosives, rockets, missiles, grenades and a lot of ammunition. The President of Yemen informed Iran and asked to stop sending arms to Yemen and to support separatists in the country.
Illegal shipments to members of a branch of al-Qaida had been detected several times. The political situation in the country is not stable and the transition to democracy is difficult since Arab Spring protests last year.
