UK container vessel hijacked, 3 crew members kidnapped off West Africa

Carisbrooke Shipping Ltd., announced that their UK-flagged, 8063 DWT, 5629 GT, built in UK, operated general cargo ship MV Esther C was boarded by pirates on the evening of the 7th of February, 2013 while she's been in international waters in the Gulf of Guinea.
After the pirates have stolen personal possessions of the crew members, they have departed the ship taking 3 seamen from the crew members as hostages. The safety and well-being of the kidnapped semen is the Carisbrooke Shipping's absolute priority and all possible steps to provide their return are being taken.
The all 9 crew members remaining on board the container ship are announced to be safe and in good health conditions. Families of all crew members have been informed of the current situation.
All the appropriate officials and authorities have been informed and are assisting.
The container ship MV Esther C is under full command and has resumed passage. Another Carisbrooke ship is preparing to meeting with her within 24 hours to secure support and assistance.
