“Although the ice extent has not been that large this season, ice cover ijn the Bothnian Bay has stayed in one place exceptionally long. This is due to prevailing winds. We have witnessed hard ice pressure in the ice field from time to time during the whole season”, explains Matti Björkman, Master of IB Sisu.
