An 18-year-old man has died while at sea on the board of Carnival Miracle cruise ship on 18th of February, 2013. Multiple reports claim the cause of man's death was alcohol poisoning.
From Carnival confirmed the death of the man. "We may confirm that an 18-year-old male passenger passed away in his state room at nearly 3 am during an 8-day cruise on the board of Carnival Miracle," told Vance Gulliksen, spokesman of Carnival. "The cause of death hasn't been determined… We extend our deepest sympathies to the family of the young man and loved ones during this very difficult time."
The Troy Record identifies the young man as Seth Younes, a senior at Saratoga Springs High School.
“We can now confirm that, there isn't any indication that the young man Seth Younes was served any alcohol by the shipboard staff,” commented on the speculation, Gulliksen.
Carnival Cruise Lines contacted the FBI as a standard practice in such occasions, added Gulliksen. Representatives of FBI had to board the cruise liner Carnival Miracle to conduct an investigation. Irregularities were not reported at first.
The investigation of the man's death, is going to consist of reviewing any evidence of Seth Younes death.
