Hapag-Lloyd announced on Friday that the Company will further enhance its North Europe short sea network by introducing a dedicated service that will connect Antwerp and Rotterdam with the Baltic.
The NBS will be a valuable addition to the existing five Hapag-Lloyd short seas services that have already been established in the Baltic.
As a result of the combination of the Hapag-Lloyd and UASC business this step is necessary in order to ensure a fast and reliable connection with the entire new Hapag-Lloyd network to and from the Baltic.
The weekly service will deploy two own Hapag-Lloyd highest ice class vessels which have a capacity of 2500 TEU. The port rotation is as follows:
Antwerp - Rotterdam - Gdynia - St. Petersburg - Helsinki - Gdynia - Antwerp
