Officials on Monday discussed plans to open a transit maritime shipping line between the southern Red Sea port of Aqaba and ports in Turkey, Petra - Jordan News Agency said.
Minister of Transport, Yahia al-Kesbi, said the government was adamant on opening this line and said major steps have been taken to make it a reality. He indicated that a government committee had been already set up to negotiate the issue with the Turkish side.
