The high-speed catamaran Menina da Praia LS-01 caught fire Monday morning (Aug1) while moored at Guaruja, San Paulo, Brazil.

The ferry was undergoing maintenance when the fire broke out in the vessel’s stern. The local fire brigade was able to quickly respond and extinguish the blaze an hour later, but the ferry sustained significant damage.
