N-SEA Offshore Limited is carrying out work on a £30 million contract to provide subsea inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) services for an oil and gas development and production company.

N-Sea starts IRM campaign in North Sea

The three-year all-inclusive contract with options for extensions is utilising well-established N-Sea vessels and project crews for vessel-based and daughter craft diving combined with ROV operations.

Pre-engineering survey work for this project, which is being carried out in the Central and Northern North Sea has been completed. The initial offshore phase commenced in mid June.

Dave Hamill, N-Sea business development manager, said: “This type of IRM service, inclusive of vessel based, daughter craft and ROV diving, is at the core of our business and the length and scope of this contract demonstrates confidence in our ability to deliver complex and challenging subsea projects.

“We are pleased to capitalise on our leading position in the market through carrying out this substantial contract in the North Sea, which reflects our wide-ranging specialist subsea services capabilities. This has been further strengthened through the appointment of eight new positions within our operational departments, and we look forward to executing this project.”
