Complimentary to the introduction of four (4) sailings per week between Zeebrugge and Göteborg – since January 2018 – CLdN informs about the next step in its strategy in order to upgrade the service level towards its customers, offering frequent and reliable ferry crossings.

Increased capacity on the Zeebrugge-Göteborg Service

As from 24 February 2019 onwards, CLdN ro-ro will deploy a larger vessel on the Göteborg trade. By introducing M/V CATHERINE, one of CLdN CONRO class vessels, which are extremely suitable to accommodate trailers and containers, the total capacity on the trade will be increased by a further 20%. The introduction of m/v CATHERINE links perfectly in with CLdN’s long-term strategy to continue deploying larger vessels on the trade.

Next to the above CLdN are looking forward to the delivery of M/V LAURELINE, which is planned to commence trading on the Company’s services by the end of February.

M/V LAURELINE is the first of a series of four (4) 5.400 L/M state-of-the-art ro-ro vessels which all will be delivered during 2019. Further details in regards to the deployment of these vessels will follow in the near future.

CLdN ro-ro offers four (4) departures ex Zeebrugge on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, next to four (4) departures per week ex Göteborg on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Monday.

The vessels on the Göteborg trade are handled by C.Ro Ports on their modern facilities at Albert II Dock in Zeebrugge, from where CLdN can offer shipments to a wide range of other European ports such as Santander, Dublin, Purfleet and Killingholme.

A spokesperson for CLdN stated: “By introducing larger capacity on the Scandinavian corridor we remain on course enhancing the trade and meeting the expectations of the market & our customers. It also enables us also to carry more transshipment cargo.”
