Last week, Teekay announced a new 3.5 year contract for the Company’s directly-owned Hummingbird Spirit Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO), extending the employment of the unit at the Chestnut field until March 2023.
This new contract was done in conjunction with the Chestnut Joint Venture’s plan to drill a new well at the Chestnut field.
About the Hummingbird Spirit FPSO:
The Hummingbird Spirit is a cylindrical-design FPSO unit with a production capacity of 25,000 barrels/day and storage capacity of 270,000 barrels.
The unit has been operating on the Chestnut field off the coast of the U.K. since 2008 and successfully completed it’s 100th offload in July earlier this year.
