Given the fact that CMA CGM KERGUELEN (IMO 9702132) is 1,305 ft. long (398 meters) and 177 ft. wide (54 meters), it is no surprise that it is the largest containership in CMA CGM Group’s current fleet.

The enormous vessel has a capacity of 17,722 TEU (twenty feet equivalent). If we were to align all the containers aboard the ship we would be able to cover the whole of the London-Southampton route.

If you still can’t grasp the pure mind-bending size of the vessel – its thrust is equivalent to that of ten A380 Airbus reactors, its width is bigger than that of an Olympic pool, and it is longer than none other than the Empire State Building.
