The 93 meter long, 2703 dwt reefer Frio Confidanze caught fire while berthed in a shipyard in the Guayas River at Guayaquil, Ecuador.
The fire was started by a spark while crews were doing repair work.
Local fire brigades were requested and it took over three hours before the fire could be brought under control.
No injuries reported.
