Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. (MSC) announced yesterday that the Company has made recently upgrades to its New Kiwi Service operating between Australia, Noumea and New Zealand.

MSC’s New Kiwi Service has been running in its current format since February 2015, with fixed weekly port calls into Bell Bay, Tasmania.
Due to growing market demand, MSC has further enhanced the service by adding an additional weekly port call into Bell Bay. Now offering two fixed port calls in Bell Bay each week, MSC provides its clients in Tasmania a truly premium service linking Tasmania directly to Noumea, New Zealand and MSC’s global network.
Commencing from Malte Rambow KW649A – ETA Bell Bay 8th December 2016, the port rotation on the New Kiwi Service will be as follows, with round-trip transit times remaining unchanged:
Sydney – Brisbane – Noumea – Tauranga – Auckland – Bell Bay – Melbourne – Bell Bay – Sydney.
This service is solely operated by MSC deploying 3 x 1,100 TEU vessels, and will continue to offer Tasmanian clients a premium service for both imports and exports on one through Bill of Lading.
With the inclusion of a weekly double Bell Bay call, MSC will be offering clients from Tasmania to Europe, the Middle East and the Indian Sub-Continent an enhanced service which reduces current transit times by 7 days via Melbourne. At the same time MSC will continue to provide our current service to North Asia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands and the Americas via Sydney and Auckland.
This commitment to Tasmania from MSC demonstrates the confidence in the Tasmanian market through continued support from existing customers, coupled with future clients who will be attracted to the high level of service and global port coverage offered by MSC.
