In the week of the official opening of the New Suez Canal Van Oord has published a video about their work during this project.
“Records were broken, vessels were mobilized from every corner of the globe, and work was carried out non-stop. The construction of the new Suez Canal in Egypt was like a rollercoaster ride”, the company says.

The 193-kilometer canal has been extend in just nine months with a parallel waterway. Furthermore, the canal was deepened entirely over a length of 70 km which is expected to half reduce the 14-hour waiting time.
"By completing this iconic project, Van Oord once again left its mark on the world," the company adds in conclusion.
