Neptune Lines has launched a short sea vehicle transportation service in the Arabian Gulf, linking all six GCC states as well as Iran.
The regular, two-loop service, interchanging weekly, will be operated in the initial phase by the vessel Neptune Ploes, connecting eight countries in the Gulf (United Arab Emirates, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain).
Loop A will depart Jebel Ali (Dubai) calling at Bandar Abbas (Iran) or Sohar (Oman) (alternating) – Umm Qasr (Iraq) – Kuwait, and then on to Khalifa Port (Abu Dhabi). Loop B will then depart Khalifa (Abu Dhabi) – Doha (Qatar) – Bahrein – Dammam (Saudi Arabia) on to Jebel Ali (Dubai).

The transit times are scheduled as follows: from Jebel Ali to Bandar Abbas or Sohar 1 day, to Umm Qasr 3 days, to Kuwait 4 days. From Khalifa to Doha 1 day, to Bahrein 2 days, to Dammam 3 days.
