Since February 2018, the carriers ONE - Ocean Network Express (Europe) Limited and OOCL Orient Overseas Container Line Limited as well as the NVOCC service provider SACO Shipping have also been receiving forwarders' bookings via DAKOSY's eBooking platform. The response messages, including booking confirmations, depot information, arrival at the port of destination, etc., are also sent back to the freight forwarders electronically via the platform.

eBooking offers many advantages for forwarders. They gain an EDI interface to the platform and, in addition to ONE, OOCL and SACO, are also connected to all other TOP 10 container shipping companies worldwide. If a forwarder sends the booking directly from their forwarding system, then the booking process is free of charge when they also send the shipping instructions via DAKOSY.

The process becomes even easier when using DAKOSY’s freight forwarding software, as eBooking is already integrated as a module. As a result, the same previously-recorded shipment data can be used in the booking process. The re-entry of data and associated risk of errors are eliminated. Overall, the process becomes much more streamlined.
