Carnival Triumph is back

By Vessels

Carnival Triumph  is back and left Galveston, Texas. This is the first cruise for the ship since February when the engine fire left it adrift in the Gulf of Mexico with more 4,200 passengers on board.

The cruise ship is now upgraded with new emergency power capabilities and addition safety technologies. There are 3,350(all places taken) passengers on board for their 4-day cruise to Cozumel, Mexico.

Carnival equipped the cruise ship in order to keep moving with lights on even if there is a problem. Carnival Triumph was 8 days at open sea when the fire crippled the ship. Tugboats helped to pull the vessel into port in Alabama. Carnival took serious this incident and will launch review of its 24 ships.

The company owner announced that a second emergency backup electricity generator is installed for maintaining important systems for the passengers like toilets, elevators, food service equipment etc.
