Motor vessel Baltic Carrier, which is under time-charter to ESL Shipping, ran aground Tuesday evening north of Helsingborg. The vessel is owned by Baltic Forest Line MS Baltic Carrier Schiffahrtsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG and managed by Reederei Heinz Corleis KG.
Authorities have been on board and according to Swedish Coast Guard there are no reported oil leakages or other environmental damages, and crew on board is safe.
Swedish Coast Guard suspects Master for being under the influence of alcohol. ESL Shipping has zero-tolerance for being under the influence of alcohol while on duty.
