In the latest video published by the U.S. Coast Guard/ Lt. Anastacia Visneski, you will hear Capt. Jason Hamilton, commanding officer, Coast Guard Cutter Healy (WAGB-20), talking about the this year's missions of the cutter in the Arctic.

Having been constructed by Avondale Industries in New Orleans, Louisiana, the USCGC Healy was spectacularly launched on November 15, 1997. During the ceremony, a bigger than expected wave of muddy water and debris, created by the launch, hit a viewing stand injuring 20 people.

The USCG research icebreaker is classified as a medium one and was named after the US Revenue Cutter Service Captain Michael A. Healy. USCGC Healy was commissioned in 1999.
