Anthem of the Seas, the newest cruise ship being constructed by the German Meyer Werft company, will depart from the building dock II of the company’s shipyard in Papenburg on Saturday, Feb. 21st.
The 168,600-GT Anthem of the Seas, one of the world’s biggest cruise vessel, is going to leave the shipyard’s covered building dock II, according to schedule, early in the morning at roughly 07.00 am.

The vessels will join the fleet of the American cruise operator Royal Caribbean International.
After the float-out, the cruise ship is going to be berthed alongside the yard’s pier for a duration of one night, after which it will be turned on in the yard’s harbour in order to perform several thruster and stabiliser tests.
With the vessel berthed at the shipyard’s pier, the interior work that remains to be done, as well as various tests and trials will be conducted on board till the cruiser’s conveyance down the river Ems en route to the North Sea, which according to schedule is set for the middle of March.
