Ulstein Held Steel Cutting Ceremony for YNO 319 For Olympic

In July 2022, Olympic ordered 2 (+2) vessels of the SX222 design. The vessels have hybrid battery propulsion and are prepared for methanol fuel to enable zero emissions.

The vessels implement the TWIN X-STERN hull design, a nominee for the Innovation Award at the OSJ conference, from Ulstein Design & Solutions. The TWIN X-STERN is a solution where the ship has two sterns and main propeller units in each end to increase flexibility and operability.

The steel cutting for the first vessel was held in November 2022. At th steel cutting for Yno 319, site inspector Tomasz Bieniek executed the first cut.
