In mid-May, Silversea’s newest expedition ship, “Silver Endeavour” (CruiseMapper), made a visit to Port St Mary, Isle of Man. Previously known as “Crystal Endeavor” and operated by Crystal Cruises, the vessel was delivered from MV Werften’s shipyard in Stralsund, Germany in June 2021.
ICE performed about 2/3 of the multi-discipline detail design of this complex ship. In addition, a team from ICE undertook field engineering and on-site troubleshooting during construction of the ship.
The Isle of Man, where ICE is headquartered, is a popular cruise ship port of call. With nearly 60 ships scheduled to visit the island in 2023, it is anticipated to be a record year for the sector.
