Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics’ Atlantic Ocean service is featuring a new port of call in Vigo, Spain. The monthly visit to Vigo extends WWL’s coverage in Spain as the Port of Santander is already on the route.
The inclusion of Vigo in the Atlantic Ocean service will provide the customers located in northern Portugal or Spain, with shorter transit time, shorter land transportation and a high-quality RoRo service.
WWL’s direct RoRo service can carry auto, rolling equipment and breakbulk cargo, and will benefit all customers shipping from Spain to North, South and Central America.
The change will come into effect by the end January, when the first WWL vessel arrives in Vigo.
South America: Improvements to WWL’s service
After visiting other European ports, the vessels on the Atlantic Ocean service will sail from Vigo to Baltimore (US) – Galveston (US) – Veracruz (Mexico) – Manzanillo (Panama) – Cartagena and Santa Marta (Colombia).
WWL will offer regular service to the west coast of South America, using Manzanillo as a hub. Ports in the Caribbean and the west coast of US is also accessible with fast and reasonable transit times.
