Nova Algoma Shortsea Carriers is further expanding their fleet, with yet another purchase of a bulk carrier - Sider Sirios.

Bulk carrier SIDER SIRIOS joins NASC fleet

Built in 2007, with a width of 108.21 meters, a breadth of 18.5 meters, and an updated DWT of 8005t, the bulk carrier will fit in perfectly as the 30th ship in NASC’s already strong fleet of 8000 DWT vessels, which trade predominantly in the Mediterranean, Black Sea and Northern Europe.

Off to a busy start, the newly named Sider Sirios has already completed her first voyage, with many more successful voyages on the horizon.

NASC is a joint-venture between Nova Marine Carriers, based in Lugano, Switzerland, and Algoma Central Corporation, based in St. Cathrines, Canada, that focuses both company’s strengths on the global short-sea dry-bulk shipping market. Created in April of last year, the 50/50 joint-venture continues to see growth.
