SCF-Group indicated their satisfaction to the cooperation with Arctech Helsinki Shipyard over the years. In the end of January the fourth vessel, NB 514, was handed over for SCF-Group. The vessel’s name giving ceremony was held on February 3, 2018, in St. Petersburg. She was given name after very well known Russian political person Yevgeny Primakov (1929 – 2015).
The vessel Yevgeny Primakov is built to operate in demanding ice conditions. The vessel design and its equipment are planned to secure safety of personnel and vessel is able to operate in emergency situations despite the weather conditions. Vessel is the last from the SCF-Group’s order of four multifunctional icebreakers. NB 514 operates under Russian flag and its’ home port is St. Petersburg, Russia.
Arctech Helsinki Shipyard has built four multifunctional icebreakers during 2014 – 2018 to the order SCF- Group’s order. Gennadiy Nevelskoy (see also CruiseMapper), multifunctional icebreaking supply vessel, was delivered first in the beginning of 2017. Stepan Makarov, multifunctional icebreaking platform standby vessel, was ready to hand over on July, 2017. Fedor Ushakov, multifunctional icebreaking platform standy vessel, was delivered on October, 2017. Building the ships engaged approximately 3500 man-years for shipyard and for its subsidiaries.

Multifunctional icebreakers are used to transport goods and passenger to offshore production plants and perform stand-by duties nearby. All the vessels are equipped with oil recovery equipment and emergency service.
