Eight months after the start of construction, OOS International newbuild semi-submersible heavy lift crane vessel OOS Serooskerke is making good progress. The perfect moment to share a construction update.
The footage below shows how far the shipyard and team got in just a few months. All the structural steel work on the OOS Serooskerke has been completed.
The blocks are now undergoing internal outfitting and painting before being erected onto the unit, the deck boxes are currently being placed onto the vessel.
The expected completion of all erection work is scheduled for June 2018, on time according to the construction and delivery plan.
Once complete in Q2 2019, she will be ready to enter the market and able to accomplish the most challenging decommissioning and other heavy lift operations worldwide. And that’s not all, optionally OOS International can also accommodate P&A activities with a transferable DES unit. This will save on operational costs for OOS end clients.
