Eidesvik, a Norway-based owner of offshore support and construction ships, has secured a contract for one of its platform supply vessels.
Eidesvik said on Monday that Norwegian oil major Statoil awarded a four-month contract for the Viking Lady platform supplier.
The company added that the contract would begin in the second quarter of 2018 and it was made at current market terms.
The contract for the Viking Lady PSV also includes a six-month extension option. No other details regarding the deal were disclosed.
The Viking Lady, a platform supplier of the VS 493 AVANT LNG design, was built in 2009 by Westcon Yard in Ølensvåg, Norway.
The PSV is 92,20 meters long, 21,00 meters wide and can accommodate 25 people. It is also worth noting that the vessel was retrofitted with Corvus’ lithium-ion-based energy storage systems in 2017.
