Uptime International has entered into two new contracts with Norwegian based Island Offshore.
First delivery contains of a rental agreement of an Uptime 23,4m active motion compensated gangway for a 7-month period, starting April 01, 2019.
Second delivery contains purchase of an Uptime 30m active motion compensated gangway with an autonomous landing. This gangway is contracted to be a 2020 delivery.
Island Offshore has been awarded a three-year contract with Equinor and will use contracted Uptime gangways on the vessel Island Clipper for this charter.
“It makes us proud and humble when we win contracts like this in a tough market. We have delivered 25 units of our 23,4m amc gangway making it very proven and this will be our second-contracted 30m gangway that many describe as a next generation gangway due to technical solutions as patented autonomous landing system, operator in the wheelhouse and more. This contract states that our range of gangways are very compatible for both the wind industry and Oil and Gas where these gangways are going to be used in” says Sales & Marketing Manager Svein Ove Haugen.
