ONE Announces Service Enhancement on PN2 by Introducing the World’s First Direct Service from Haiphong to Pacific North West

“The First Deep Sea Long Haul Service” celebration ceremony was held at Haiphong International Container Terminal (HICT) on 17 April, together with the vessel “Nagoya Express” arrived on the same day. Mr. Steven Yang, General Director of HICT, said, “On behalf of Haiphong International Container Terminal, I would like to deeply thank all your trust and confidence to us. Without your greatest support, the first direct Trans-Pacific service between North Vietnam and Pacific North West would not be come true. As a token of our gratitude, we will keep our utmost endeavors to provide you high-quality service, and we look forward to our further cooperation with THE Alliance.”

Mr. Shunichiro Mizukami, Region Head of East Asia and Managing Director of ONE East Asia, said, “It’s beyond our imagination a vessel with 8,700 TEU capacity can call Haiphong and directly ship cargo from North Vietnam to Pacific North West. Under Public-Private Partnership scheme between Vietnam and Japan, the construction of HICT as the first deep water container terminal in Haiphong has contributed to the launch of the new direct service from Haiphong to Tacoma and Vancouver, which is the first masterpiece responding to precious voices of our valuable customers in North Vietnam. Providing support as always, Ocean Network Express looks forward to continuing growth with Vietnam, with Haiphong, and with Haiphong International Container Terminal.”
