Belgian dredging specialist DEME said its LNG-fueled offshore installation vessel Orion departed the COSCO Qidong shipyard in China and is heading to Europe.

The company said in a brief statement through its social media channels that the vessel is heading to Europe for the final construction phase before it heads to its first offshore wind project.

Orion will arrive in Rostock, Germany where it will be equipped with a massive Liebherr crane with a lifting capacity of 5,000 tonnes.

The vessel has dual-fuel engines and can run on liquefied natural gas (LNG), and will have a Green Passport and Clean Design notation.
