Vroon has announced the further strengthening of collaboration between JISCO Marine Sdn Bhd and Vroon Offshore Services (VOS) Singapore, with a two-year extension of our third-party ship-management contract for AWB Nautical Aisya. This renewal will extend the JISCO and VOS Singapore cooperation until at least the end of February 2022.
This exciting news follows from JISCO Marine being awarded a new contract by Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) for AWB Nautical Aisya. The new charter, which commenced on 1 February 2020, will continue a successful initial two-year DP2 charter, during which AWB Nautical Aisya received the accolade of BSP’s best-performing vessel in 2019. AWB Nautical Aisya will now widen her job scope to include helicopter operations, creating added value for BSP.
Preparations for this new charter involved some maintenance work in order to retain the vessel’s excellent reliability record. Other actions taken prior to 1 February included an on-board Partners in Safety briefing on the Learning Engagement Tool by Sivakumar Ramudu, VOS Manager Ship Management, titled “Invisible Hazards”, various safety drills attended by BSP personnel and successful OVID (Offshore Vessel Inspection Database) completion, with only five minor observations.
“We also marked the new charter term with a Blessing Ceremony organised by JISCO and attended by BSP Senior personnel and the Nautical Aisya team.
We wish JISCO Marine Sdn Bhd and AWB Nautical Aisya continued safe and successful operations. We look forward to continuing the strong partnership between JISCO Marine and VOS Singapore - scaling to greater heights!”
