In another groundbreaking event, the port of Thessaloniki welcomed the M/V “Bernadette”, the largest container ship ever calling the Port.
The vessel joined the NWC (North West Continent) weekly service, and will now become a regular caller of the port, offering fast and direct connections between Thessaloniki and the major ports of the Northwest of Europe.
The “M/V Bernadette” operated by MSC and sailing under the state flag of Portugal, is 294 meters long, with a beam of 32.3 meters and a maximum capacity of 5,303 TEUs.
On this call, 373 moves were handled in one single shift, confirming THPA’s ability to deliver sustainable high performances on large vessels.
This is another milestone in the ThPA SA development process, enabling the port to offer world-class services to its customers.
