This September, through its Northern European subsidiary Boluda Towage Europe, the Boluda Corporación Marítima international towing division Boluda Towage has commenced towing operations in Rostock, the most important German port in the Baltic Sea.
The presence in the port of Rostock further strengthens and expands Boluda Towage’s ship assistance and manoeuvring activity in Northwest Europe and the Baltic Sea region.
Boluda Towage is no stranger to the port, having already completed numerous special towing operations for vessels, pontoons and wind farm components through Warnemünde dock.
The launch of this new operation in Rostock also marks Boluda Towage’s commitment and adaptability to support its customers’ business and promote further growth and development in the Baltic Sea port in cooperation with port authorities and all stakeholders. To begin with, Boluda Towage will operate a fleet of two powerful tugboats, and will increase the required vessel capacity according to the needs and requests of customers in this port.
Thanks to close cooperation with local port authorities and pilots, Boluda Towage’s professional and experienced German crew was able to make the necessary preparations to initiate towing operations smoothly.
With this new port base, Boluda Towage will provide a nearby workplace for its local crew residing in and around Rostock and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Executive vice chairman of Boluda Towage Vicente Boluda Ceballos has welcomed the fact that “the Boluda flag will be a permanent presence in the Baltic Sea, as part of strategy to expand Boluda Towage’s towing service in Northern Europe, in line with company’s various recent strategic acquisitions”.
