Lauritzen Bulkers has signed the Call to Action for Shipping Decarbonization which will be delivered to the Presidency of COP26 today, Wednesday 27 October.
The aim of the call to action is to send a strong signal to the Governments meeting in Glasgow next week on the need to raise ambitions and commit to fully decarbonize international shipping by 2050.
The Call to Action was developed by a Task Force of the Getting to Zero Coalition, with support of the Mission Possible Partnership.
Lauritzen Bulkers CEO Niels Josefsen said:
“We support the strengthening of restrictions on CO2 emissions because we believe it is only through tougher regulations that shipping will be able to meet the targets for green shipping.”
